My husband's troop (except my hubby =(.....still waiting on him) came home in November, so we wanted to throw them a "welcome home" party. We had the idea of "poker night" (thanks Mara). So we decorated with a card theme everywhere, and I made the cake to match our theme of course =)
I was so glad I was able to help out, even though my hubby's not home yet. I had a lot of fun at the party, and making the cake =) A TROOP ROCKS!!
Cake Info: 6" Top cake was chocolate flavor with bavarian cream filling. The bottom was 8" yellow cake with strawberry filling. All covered in vanilla buttercream & fondant decorations.

The first challenge =)
So far I've been making one cake at a time, and it's been pretty fun, however on Wednesday I got a call asking for a cake for Thursday AM, and I already had another scheduled for Thursday PM.. so I rose to the challenge =) I was able to work out, make the cakes, run to school to talk to my advisor, decorate, exercise again, go to school again...(oh yeah fit work on there also) AND FINISHED both of them on time =)
The first one was for Chiara. She picked the color blue, and she wanted some items from my other cakes. (That polka-dot bow is becoming very popular =) hehe) I was able to fit everything she wanted, and I added a bit or personalization. =) The cake was vanilla with strawberry filling and butter cream icing.

The second was for my friend's son Brody. He was turning 5 yesterday =) When we asked him what he wanted, he said he wanted The Hulk, chocolate cake, and green frosting!!! =) and so I did =)
His cake was Chocolate with vanilla frosting in the middle, and green icing. I had so many ideas for the cake, but when I saw the fists...(and knowing that he has them as well) I thought it would be the best choice. He absolutely loved it, and wanted to play with the fist..hehe..
Enjoying so much making these cakes!!! =)

Katie's Birthday
Kathy's daughter's birthday was this past weekend, and I was honored to make her cake. I wanted to personalize it a bit, so I added a bow with the "K"on it for Katie's name. She loved it! =) When I went to go deliver it, Katie's words "This is perfect!!" totally made my day =) I love making people happy, and with something edible, even better!!! LOL =)
The cake was yellow cake with strawberry filling, buttercream icing, and it was covered in fondant.

My first one was for my friend Sarah's baby shower... Baby Eden's colors were green and pink = ) The cake was Chocolate/Vanilla with Bavarian cream filling and vanilla buttercream..YUM. I made the little stroller from gum-paste, it was so much fun.. got the idea from online. I also decided to make a couple of cupcakes to add to the decor =)
Next was my experiment =) I hadn't worked with White Chocolate yet, so I decided to experiment =) I made a cake for my friends movie night. It was a Chocolate Fudge cake with white chocolate/raspberry filling and white chocolate icing...MY FAVORITE SO FAR!!!! it was amazing!!! =)
The design isn't the greatest, I was just playing around with tips..hehe...One of my friends told me it reminded her of a bride..=) works for me... =)
